I was wondering if anybody can give me specifically a year and model vehicle that the 5.4 with a 4r70w was used. im doing a 4.6-5.4 swap in an f150, and need to get the correct flex plate. i found a same year parts truck locally, although 5.4 came with aode trans. thought same gen might have been my option. thanks

 

most 5.4's had the 4r70w unless it is a F250 LD/7700 truck or a vehicle with California emissions.

 

it was not an option in 97 or 98, they only had the e40d for the 5.4 i know find out, but a 99 f150 had the 4r70w. thanks

 

oops, forgot about the '97/98 being the oddballs with the E4OD (which is a better transmission than the 4R70W)
