86 "straight six" Carb problem and General help

My automatic choke went bad so i had to put on a manual one.

When i took off the Carb, one vaccum hose broke (it was rubber to a bent metal tube) I have looked and looked and can't find where the metal broke off of. I think it goes to eh transmission because my truck is running very rough.

Also, I believe my carb need to be adjusted and liks anyone could provide would be helpful. My truck was running fine (since the auto choke was bad, i had to close it, start the truck, then prop the choke open and then the truck ran fine)

My truck will start, then sputter then die.. it might kick back on by itself, then sputter and die again. That is exactly what it was doing when the autochoke was bad, it would sputter until i propped open the choke then it ran fine. Now that i have the manual, its always open, so i believe it's
something to do with that vac hose. I'll post pics to show..

I know the tube is crimped, but i put the hose back on there, i have it plugged off with a rubber cap. Here is where the bent metal tube was routed, but i can't find where it broke off, I believe hooking that vac hose back up will solve my problem.

Also, here is the vacuum diagram for my kind of carb
