Exclamation HELP! 1988 F150 wipers

My wipers will work but randomly stop. the windshield wast will do the same. It either all works fine or they both cut out and do not work. I believe it should have the intermittent function but when I turn the **** left or right it does the same thing. turn one more to the right and it speeds up. its more likely to seize when on high. it stops for about 30 sec to 1 min 45 sec, give or take. random clicking and buzzing may occur under the dash. Someone please help me out here. My dad tried fixing it before but it was unsuccessful... we replaced the interval governor and the wiper motor a few years back.

I need to drive to work on the freeway in the rain with packed city traffic on Wednesday.

EDIT: I believe it is the interval governor. what is the best way to fix it for longer than a day? this is on a manual and according to my research, pulling the parking brake just brakes it again.

wiper Motor is Good.

I fixed The intermittent function as there was a Bad solder in The intermitter. The wiper motor and washer pump still cut out randomly and The interval is making louder clicking and buzzing noises When The wipers stall. The wipers will slow and speed up Then slow and sieze for a sec and repeats. The washer pump is syncronized with This issue. Its like The Power is shorting out. Sigh... I tried a new washer Motor with No success.

Try replacing the actual switch. My 89 f150 used to do the same thing. (Although my wiper motor is probably getting weak now.)
