Finally...my 2011 F150!
Welp, it was literally one of the most drawn out processes I've ever gone through making any purchase. I (not a joke) spent the last year and a half learning and researching trucks, specifically the F150. After learning just about everything I could about all of my options I've pulled the trigger on what I believe is "The One."
So here it is, 2011 F150 4x4 XTR (thanks Canada!) 3.5L Ecoboost. I waivered back and forth between 5.0 and Eco and you know what I found? I'm not sure it really mattered for what I'll use it for and I'm getting the high end of the offering with the Ecoboost. I'll be honest, I'm terrified for if/when there's an issue with the turbos, but until then I'll just roll the windows down and enjoy the subtle whine of the turbos with all that HP!
So, before I finish this post I'd like to say thanks to everyone who posts input here on this forum. You were all a big help as I went through my options! Looking forward to becoming more involved with the forums and for many long years of enjoying the new rig.

Thanks! Nothing planned just yet. The dealer is putting two tires on it because the front tires are worn all the way down. I asked for original equipment but now I'm thinking it may make sense to move away from the OE Wrangler SR-A tire. Also adding spray in bed liner. Haven't decided on Line X vs. Rhino yet.
Other than that it'll remain mostly stock for now. I'm sure I'll get the inch to upgrade sooner rather than later though. I always do.

no matter which motor the decision is a great one. I have a 2011 XLT s/crew 5.0 4x4. love every minute of it. sold a 2002 F150 Lariat. this thing is leaps and bounds above. Horse power, MPG's, interior size and features, pretty much everything is an upgrade over my last truck and I loved it. Enjoy!

For the longest time I considered a PSD too but had to use my voice of reason and understand that was a want...not a need. I was distracted by all that power! At the end of the day it's worth the wait. Very pleased so far!

50,000 on it which isn't bad. It was well taken care of and was a deal for the price. Just need to get a bed liner in it and I'll be all set.
Can't decide between a drop in or Line X. Considering I just dropped some serious coin I'm inclined to go with the less expensive drop in but like the lifetime warranty on Line X. This truck will be with me for a long time so I need something that lasts.

I put the BedTred Pro in my truck. It looks like a spray-in, but it is a drop in liner. I've hauled rocks, firewood, car parts, bricks, dirt and other stuff. The liner is holding up great and doing a great job protecting the bed. The Bed Tred is a little easier on your knees and wallet than a spray in. Here's the link Bedrug BedTred Pro Series Bedliners BedRug - Next Generation Bedliner
It did take a couple hot days for the liner to completely layout nice. The were a couple high spots in it when I first installed it. It's an easy install for 1 person.
I've had the Good Year Wrangler SRA's on several vehicles, including my 2012 F150 Lariat EcoBoost SCREW 4x4. The SRA's are a good tire that comes in at a good price point. If the dealer is giving them to you I would take them and be happy. If I was buying a new set of tires I would pay a little more to get a better tire.

The BedTred is between a soft liner and hard liner. The outer shell is a composite material that seems to be between plastic and rubber. Then there is a foam backing between the shell and pickup truck bed that makes the liner feel a little softer. It does keep stuff from sliding around but it's not as sticky as rubber. It cleans up fairly easy. I've never washed it other than using the pressure washer at the car wash. Dirt and liquids rise away.
