Some Dyno Numbers and Turbo info

Racing how does this setup compare with a DB2-90 and your upgraded 093 kit? I realize less fuel so less power, but I mainly ask in regard to the power curve. If I understand most of this thread (and please correct me if I'm wrong) the setup in the project vehicle significantly moved the power curve down while also increasing the peak output and that drop in the curve is what I desire.
And no offense meant by not mentioning the vehicle owner by name but since I haven't posted much I don't want to be presumptuous and use first names.

Im not sure on your question at the moment. Out of all the 093 upgrades, the feedback I am getting is mixed. Some are getting good boost, and some are complaining about it not being responsive. The 90 is the 90, and its an all around good pump with plenty of go... The plan for the Bronco, at least to this point, is to use a non-intercooled GT35 upgrade, and do a max effort DB2 pump (I am going to assume it will be around 150cc at peak, and 120cc or so at 2800). The reason I want to do the 093 kit instead of my Turbo kit, is number one, I have so many ATS parts just laying around, and number two, to get some real hands on results with this GT35 upgrade, which will help with tuning customers trucks. I think the issues some people are having is that its just a whole other level of turbo, and it takes a different style of tuning from the stock unit. The other thing I have started to notice, is the differences in results from people running the stage 1 vs. the stock cam. I think the Stage 1 drives the turbine a little harder, especially with the timing around 6*, and because the stock cam is so different, the changes in timing aren't as pronounced in tuning...
In regards to the power curve, most of that is the cam. The 90 in the above video was actually one of the early units by another shop, and it didn't quite have the power curve my current 90's do. The current 90's have a bit more fuel on the bottom end, which just will enhance the characteristics of the cam, and for those not running the cam, will help in the spool department.

I wanted to update this here, obviously because this thread revolves around the test truck itself...
On the way back from Memorial day, Keith had a wheel (Discount Tire alloy) explode while towing and a big bed mounted camper on... It was everything he could do to not roll the thing, but there was a lot of damage to the back end of the truck... Its looking like the insurance company could total it, as an 86 F250 isn't worth a whole lot, even though it has most of its value under the hood... That being said, there may be a delay on getting an update from this setup. I know he has been talking about getting a newer truck if they total the 86, which means that this setup will get dropped into something else (The top two candidates are His dads 92 F250, or My bronco... Weve even kicked around the Idea of a RCSB F150, but that doesn't help out in the towing results catagory)... As of right now, we don't know, but hopefully, At least for the sake of consistent testing, they just repair the damage.

As a point of maybe some interest. My 4x4 packing the camper is 7200lbs on the rear axle which is right at the load limit on the factory alcoas. The reason I do not run aftermarket wheels is that I have never found any that had a good rating.
Food for thought.
As long as Kieth and passengers are ok. thats the main thing.
