I finally found the problem in my door latch.
This part is broken!
Anyone know were I can find this part?
The truck is a 1948 ford F-5

Would not be to hard to repair with a mig welder. couple files and a small grinder if you cannot find one.

 

Given the condition of the rest of the latch, you might want to consider buying a new one. Is it the driver's or passenger door?

 

This would one of those times it would be handy to have your location listed in the upper right hand corner. I'd bet there's a couple of guys somewhat close by that have a junk door or parts laying around and would be happy to help you out.

I in agreement with both of the previous posters. I'd try to fix it but then it would also be better to find a replacement part. I don't think you could buy it new but usually the last parts in a door to go bad is the mechanicals. There's plenty of totally rusted out junk doors with these parts.

It's the passenger door!
The one with the lock!!!
