New Truck Delivered

Picked up the truck Friday and very pleased so far. 11 mpg but less tha 50 miles on it. That will get better from what I've read here. Coming from a one ton crewcab dialog, 7.3.

2015 Ford F350 Crewcab
XLT, 6.2L, 3.73

Dually. Man I hope it gets better regarding mpg. Was getting 15.5-16 on my diesel. If I can just get close ill be happy. Big difference though after driving a diesel for 22 years. Feel I made the right decision going with the gas though

My 11.3 MPG is based on this being my commuter vehicle. 3.6 miles each way to work. When it's not dragging me to work it's towing my 10.5k fifth wheel.

I disnt notice a jump on fuel mileage til after my first winter and 10 k on the odometer . Went from low 12 to 11 in winter back up to 14 mpg in spring.. Like u i got rid of a cc dually 7.3 that got 16mpg fuel fill ups are cheaper with the 6.2 fuel mileage is a lil worse .. Lot less maintaince than a diesel. And it pulls every bit as welll as the old 7.3. As for ur 3 mile commute id say ur mpg will be down your not driving far enough. But with a 3 mile commute gas mileage should be no issues . I get 9.7 mpg with a gooseneck trailer going 70 mph@ about 7500lb

3800 Miles on mine 13.3 on the lie o meter 12 hand calculated. I have a dually and 4.30 rear axle. It seems to go up the more I drive. Heck I got 15.5 for over 100k on a 4.3 v6 2wd sport trac and this thing is twice to 3 times heavier, more fun to drive but a bi--h to park.
regards

Congrats! Yes, we must have pics. Mine has 7,300 miles on it and I average 13.8 MPG. I get just under 16 on the hwy, and 10 towing my 7500 lb travel trailer on flat ground with no wind

On the line above the typing area click on the Insert Image and download one from your computer. It will have to be resized.

Go down to the very last forum that is called test and play with it there.

Congrats on the new truck!

But, I do get tired of every thread about the 6.2L turning into a MPG debate. One does not buy a 3/4 or 1-ton gas-powered truck for fuel mileage. What if Ford is looking through all these threads plastered all over the internet, and the only thing they read about is fuel mileage concerns? You're going to get a SuperDuty with a puny little V6 if you keep complaining.

I think the MPG topic comes up because everyone one wants to know how there truck does in comparison. I wasn't worried about it when I bought mine. I had a 4.0L V6 4:10 LS in my 2wd Sport Trac and it averaged 16.5 so my Superduty is inline with what I am used too.

I'm OK if we drop the gas mileage comments in this particular thread and instead focus on the snow plow on the Super Duty two posts above.

I have no use whatsoever for a snowplow in my life but for some reason after seeing that photo that plow looks badass on that Super Duty and I want one just like it on mine.

That is all.
