1986 V8 s carbed or fuel injected
Looking at a motor swap just wondering when they went full fuel injection

I think it was optional in 1985 and standard equipment in 1986. But I could be wrong...

1985 300 inline 6 and 302 V8 were optional EFI. Standard EFI for 1986. 351W and 460 engines were carbureted until the 1988 model year.

I believe the 300 six was later than 85 and 86, possibly went to fuel injection in 87?

The 300 went EFI in 87, the 351 and 460 in 88. Only the 302 was available with efi in this body style.
