Looks like a lot of off set. Would like to
see someone else get them then see
how they hold up and work out.
Said No warranty. Not a good thing at
that price.

I hope Stu drops in, I'd like to know what he thinks about these. You'd have to find someone who has a CNC mill that could hold them so they could drill the proper holes. I don't know about the width either, that's the question Stu needs to answer.

I don't think I'd like the looks without the hand holes, would look weird on an old truck without them.

I'd also wonder about liability and if they'd meet all of the DOT regulations. Hate to see what would happen if the truck was involved in an accident.

I'm not trying to put done the suggestion but you have to think about all of this stuff.

Awefully wide. The widest available on Big Jobs was 7.5". I'd be concerned about rubbing, unless used on something with a lot of lift like Chuck's F-7 Coleman. Maybe for the right guy that has access to a CNC machine to do the center bore, bolt pattern, and hand holes they'd be worth the gamble. Otherwise not imho. Stu

I am thinking the seller is making a lot
from his asking price compared to what
it cost to have them made and shipped
from Taiwan. AKA China. Think low grade
materials and shoddy work. Prolly no two
came out the same. I for one shy away
from off shore stuff until others have used
it and get some reviews. And like has been
said what does DOT or what ever think of them.
Although one could put any design into them
for hand holds you can imagine. But how strong
are they and just how much can be cut out?
Inquiring minds need to know this stuff.
At his asking price there isn't much room
left for machining the mounting holes and hand
holes I think. Maybe $500 before even mounting
tires. Heck it's just a $50 blank is all. Just guessing
here as I have nothing but my gut to back it up.

I'd wager 90% of the OEM aluminum wheels are Hecho in Chine. When they need to, they can make quality stuff. They do look too wide and too much offset (numbers listed don't seem to agree with what you see).

What I see as promising is that if they can make those in that width and offset, I'd wager if asked to, they could make something more appropriate for our big trucks for even less (and hopefully drilled and maybe even with handholes), AND with DOT cert's.

I think liability would be the biggest hurtle. Unless you can do the machining yourself or have a buddy that would to it on the side, I have a feeling no machine shop would touch them. With my business, and other businesses I've worked for, it seemed like anyone who touched a project could be hauled into court, the "deepest pocket" thing, if anything went wrong.

There are some very legitimate concerns with milling your own bolt holes. A flange designed for hub-centric applications with flat washers and flat-faced nuts isn't likely OK for conical seat nuts. That's why DOT cert's are the key.
