Haha Sorry about the delay. I posted and them got tied up with some other things. I've got a 351 in it. The only air vents are on the floor. I checked those hoses running thru the firewall. There are 2 and they were both hot. I'll look at doing the water and air flush on the heater core to see if that helps...before getting too far over my head.

I can only work on it a little here and there as my wife is getting close to delivering our second. So most of my "off" time is spent getting things ready.

I would try to stop by any local parts chain story and pick up a $12.00 ish? Chilton or Haynes basic auto repair manual for your truck. That will help with part ID, location and get the ball rolling on learning where things are located and how they work together.

Each section covers the basic's from brakes to steering and heater cores. Just doing a heater core/radiator system flush can help and that even might be covered in the book?

At least you have one of the easiest heater cores to access and replace. Versus the one in an a/c truck. PITA.

Much appreciated 77/79. I've been saving a bunch of pictures and stock diagrams that guys have posted. I'll definitely pick up one of those books.

Nope, I haven't seen that. Again, you da man! There is so much info, finding time and filtering thru some of the bs to get to the meat and potatoes can be difficult.

Research, plan, tinker. Repeat.

Sorry, I didn't mean bs on those links, but there is a lot of info out there. Trying to find the right stuff can be difficult. At least for someone who has no idea what he's doing ha
