Alternators-DC, National, or Mopar

I'm replacing my alternator for the 2nd time. Truck has 174K and my last Mopar reman lasted aprox 3-4 years.. probably not even 40k miles. So, anyone know if National is any good (2yr warranty), DC good, or pay $250 for a Mopar reman from dealer at about the same price $250? Looking to do it tomorrow or the next couple days.
PS. I have a 500W amp and a 300W amp, everything else is stock. Are 130 or 200 amp alternators really needed? I hear about low voltage and ficm? Does that have any baring on the 7.3? TIA

Mopar?

I recommend NAPA premium reman, it is basically a new unit, all they reuse is the case, all internals are new and has a lifetime warranty.

I knew that would get a response.. just kidding. Sorry for the Mopar, I meant Motorcraft (OEM). Napa is one supplier I forgot to ask about. I usually by Ford or Napa. I will look into it. Still wondering about the other brands I mentioned. Kind of wondering if I shouldn't go with the battery line of thought. Which is best warranty for the same money?

I think I would up the amps as well. I think you are working the alternator a bunch with all that electrical.

I would talk to ED at FICM repair.com...Hes a DC dealer, tell him what your electrical demands are and he will set you up with the correct alternator. I put a DC in my truck 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. Im also going to drop 1 in my Yukon which I plow with.
