Hope the rear mts tank will seal around the lockring, had bad luck with the one I bought, lost around 5 gallons of fuel from leaking. Dropped it 3 times to fix the leak, couldn't get it to seal, returned it and bought a spectra steel tank.

 

08 diff cover installed w some grade 8 hardware

I didn't have any trouble with mine.Did you use the large flat,square cut, o-ring? Maybe you didn't draw down the screws evenly and or over tighten?

That front tank gets pretty close to the rear shocks.
Have you seen if one will fit on your scsb?

 

I hope I have better luck. It makes me want to drive it to the fuel station and fill it before I put the bed on

Not close at all. There is NO way it would fit in a short bed though
