Minimum lift for 35" tires

I have a 2006 F350 CCLB that is stock height and I would like to put 35" tires on it to help lower the RPM's and better the looks. In doing this I would also like to keep it useable for towing a 5th wheel or gooseneck.

So my question is, what is the minimum amount of lift that I can put on the truck listed above and still have clearance for the 35's ?

I've seen a truck similar to mine with a 4 1/2" lift on it and it looked good but I wondered if it would be too high to tow a trailer level.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't need any more than a 2" leveling kit, and you might not need any lift at all depending on your truck. 35" tires are really only a little larger than stock on a SD.

These are what I have for tires:

Newer trucks come with tires 35" stock as for a gooseneck 35s and a 2.5 level kit is about it for towing . Thats all i have and anymore id need to mod the trailer to sit level.

Kd, would you say what leveling kit you have?
Thanks.

I don't want to have to modify my trailer to set level.

I actually just have one of these cheap kits off eBay. I know most people will say "you get what you pay for", but I've had this on for a couple years and 20,000 miles and it works great.

If your using stock wheels a level kit will do. Aftermarket wheels most of time will need a lift due to offset.

@jdale: I think the 2" lift looks good and should work well for your towing needs as well.

Thanks for all the info guys I appreciate it.
I neglected to include in the first post that my truck is a dually so I'm just trying to get all of this figured out before I go and spend $1800 to $2000 on tires and $400 on rear wheel spacers only to find out that I need another $1500 lift kit.
I hear a lot of people talking about leveling kits but my truck already sits pretty level without one so I may just try putting the tires on the way that the truck sits right now and see what happens from there.

All I had to do is trim the wheel well liner slightly at the bottom on my SRW F350. Pretty sure the only reason I needed to do that is because the new tires were just a bit wider than the stock tires. You should be fine but maybe call around to some places that do a lot of truck wheel and tire mods. They should be able to tell you.
