I guess you could use this one for comparison. Bidding starting at $3500:

How does that compare? It's just an old truck. No provenance. (and overpriced IMO)

Jag XKSS = $1.1 mill
Jag XKSS owned by Steve McQueen = $10 mill

67 Cadillac = $15k
67 Cadillac owned by Elvis = $88k

A stock '75 Ford Escort driven by Pope John Paul II sold for $102k. In what world does that "make sense"? It's a $1500 car all day.

There are many people with far more disposable income than we can even imagine. Their purchases don't have to make sense.

Calm down Ross. I just posted the last truck just to say some Yo-yo is thinking his total piece of crap truck is worth $3500. I realize the last truck and the Sanford and Son truck are very far apart on value. I just posted it so there could be a comparison between the two. Geez.

But does the cart come with it? Now we're talking about a good deal...

Joe, if you really want the cart I'd bet he'd through it in. Just make sure before you bid.

I thought the same thing as Ross when I read your post, Bob. I thought you were trying to compare the one in the weeds with the Sanford and Son truck head-to-head. Just a misunderstanding. No big deal.

I also agree with Ross' statement about people with far more disposable income than we can ever imagine. Those people don't play by the same financial (and common sense) rules that the rest of us follow.

Judy Garland didn't own those red slippers either, and I'm pretty sure they didn't throw those "props" in the garbage because they had no value. Look it up if you don't believe me. Try again.

LOLOL. BRAVO!! BRAVO!! Welcome aboard! Keep us posted about the truck.

Any words for the people who think you're crazy for paying that kind of money for a "prop"?

I think it would take more courage to drink the Ripple, considering it hasn't been produced since the 80's.
