1992 f150 transmission leak 5speed manual
Like the title says
92 f150 5 speed manual, leaking at the back of the transmission intself there is that "adapter/Cover" that connects it to the transfer case and also seals the trans.
I have used blue permatex still leaked
Tried making a gasket still leaked
now i used red silicon the anaerobic kind and it still leaks
Dealer does not sell a factory gasket.
Any help or ideas!?!

The shift rail plugs and shifter pivot cover are both known to leak. If either is leaking, they are not too hard to fix. There's a link on this site (I think) regarding the shift rail plugs leaking on the M5OD transmissions used in Rangers, Mazdas, and F150's.
I replaced my rubber plugs with 5/8" freeze plugs, which is recommended.
Make sure you're topping off your transmission with Dexron/Mercon 3 or 5, you obviously don't want to run that puppy dry! Post back if you need some help.

I took the floor out and the cover to the transmission -
There was a nice clean spot right from the top shift cover all the way down the side of the transmission - so i'm replacing the gasket AND the shift rail plugs...Also rebuilding the shift lever. Thanks guys looks like it was leaking where i did not expect it to be.
