I just picked up a 52 F2 and was wondering what brand and size tire you are running on yours. I have bias plys on the truck that Im guessing date back to the 1980's. In other words they need to get replaced ASAP.

That is one sweet looking F2. I really like the long bed trucks.

I have a pellet stove in my shop, which has basically no insulation other than some nothing foam nailed to the ceiling and a plastic wrap on the walls. It's not perfect, but I'm satisfied. Even when the temperature outside drops down into the high teens, it will keep my shop close to about 55-60 degrees. Ross and Ray spent some time in there last November. They may think differently.

No complaints from me. Time goes so fast when you're havin' fun and you do stay warm when busy. Seriously, the stove did very well.

Hello Mike,

I see this is your first post, so welcome to FTE. This place is a great source of information all about your truck. The guys on here are also willing to share their own truck experiences (good and bad ) with you on your new project at all stages - from purchase opinions all the way to keeping a truck an original and safe daily driver to recommendations on what wax to put on a new paint job and other final restoration details. There are a thousand pages of information in the archives too. The 3/4 & 1-ton trucks have a solid group of cheerleaders on board here too.

To begin to answer your question, I have General Ameritrac tires on my truck. I'm at work right now and don't have the tire size but will post back later on that.

Again, welcome aboard. We love to hear about new guys and their trucks. Maybe you can put together a 'Hi, I'm a new guy' post and share the story of the F2 and what your initial plans are for it. And of course we love to see pictures.

Will be back in touch with the tire size.
Tom

Looking forward

Thanks for the welcome. I just picked up the vehicle last week. I'm in the getting to know you stage of figuring what is wrong (and right) with the vehicle. I can already tell that the front end or steering is wonky and it needs a new radiator.

That is a great looking F2.

Welcome to FTE! That is a nice looking stock truck! Love it! And where is that Schmidt's brewery located? Great picture.

elanmike you have a great looking truck. Please start a thread about your truck and post any questions you have. I am one of the many happy 3/4 ton owners on this board (and I own a 215 six, but it isn't in my truck).

Wow! Handled it without any problems. I feel like a puss now since I was thrilled when I hauled 6- 80lb. bags of concrete with mine last summer!
