I'm still working on my vibration issue, and got the idea to put my truck wheels & tires on my van for a test. Truck uses the tall skinny ones, van is on LT245/75-16. Truck doesn't shimmy and shake down the road.

Why didn't I put 245's on the truck so I'd have all sorts of spares?? WHERE'S MY TIME MACHINE?

 

The 235/85-16 (31.7") tires are just a tiny taller than the 265/75-16 (31.6") tires I have on my van. I needed to level the front 2" with a spacer lift (see Maxx Lift thread for info) so they would not rub during suspension jounce and turning.

Bolt patterns on the trucks and vans are different after 1997, but I note your truck is a 1995 so you should be OK to move wheels and tires back and forth. I do think the fronts would hit when turning, but they might be able to survive a quick test for a few miles down the freeway.

Yeah, the same size tires would have made a lot of sense...but hindsight is always 20/20...
