Very sad day at Super Duty Service

Trucks and property can be replaced.
That topic made me think we had lost
a close friend.
Yes it is sad, BUT no one is dead.
Well till Anthony gets his hands on them that is.
I am just happy that it was not a person that we care for.
I hope that you have cameras up.
I have had trucks broken into 3 times.
I have had friends steal from me. That is
one that really hurts. Loss of trust. The
same thing goes for when someone takes
something from you. You take some time
to get over the violation that you feel.

I know I made the thread name sound bad,,, I did that to get your alls attention. It worked huh. Lol. But this truck didn't get taken from us or from our possession,,, it was taken from the American Royal. I felt like someone died when I saw the pics. I have personal relationships with all of our customers,, and I get down n dirty with the trucks too. That truck was immaculate!!!! The low-life thieves tool the mirrors,, tailgate,, and it appeared to have been stripped of the dash. Morons didn't take the big $$$$ parts,, like the engine or trans. Cool thing is the owner said he's comfortable and knowledgable of the 6.0 n he's thinking about going with an 07.
If that would ever happen to my truck,, is bury it in the shop lot!!!! Lol

Unfortunately, Our trucks are pretty easy to break into and steal.
A co-worker of mine had his 2000 F250 stolen from our company lot and driven across town so they could steel the wheels and fairly worn out tires. They left it sitting on the brake discs!!
They ripped up the interior and sprayed the inside with WD-40.
It was found within a couple of days and he's back driving it. (After the insurance co replaced the wheels, tires, interior, and repainted it!!)
I guess I am going to revisit a hidden FICM KILL switch!!
Cheers,
Rick

I actually took that truck apart yesterday. I couldn't believe the injector harnesses were ok!!!! Got the heads off last night. How fast can I lift a cab??? Lol. The chassis is gonna live again,,, someday. But I'm scrapping the cab. That was a dirty freakin job tho. My hot tank to the rescue. I talked Julie into us rebuilding it and doin some paint. It's gonna be another colorful engine. Not like mine tho, gonna be the power for our loaner truck. Do it's gotta be shop colors,, red blue n silver. Here's some pics.
Here's where it was dropped
Thankfully I had a steering column that I could bolt in to steer it in!! Lol
The transmission doesn't even need cleaning. A lil heat tho
The top of the oil filter and stand pipe was melted,, but the bottom was fine
Couldn't believe they were ok
IPR heat shield did its job. Not all trucks have them,, but it's a foil wrap with a snap to lock on and completely cover the IPR
Looks like the gen 2 can be reused.
Good thing we didn't waste any time to get it done. The engine was full of water from the firefighters.
