97 250HD fuel gauge question
I just got this 97 250hd 4x4.
Both tanks read empty. The rear tank my be empty. I have not put ga in it yet.
I did a search and found that it could be a ground or a sending unit.
Where on the frame is the ground for the sending unit?
Can just the sending unit be replaced? If so How hard is it and about what does it cost?

Most likely the sending unit's are bad on both pump's,I had to replace both of mine ,since they are attached to your fuel pump you will have to drop both tanks to change them,so i just replaced the whole unit while I had them out (fuel pump/sending unit) run your tank dry and then replace the unit, then do the same with the other one.The pump unit is about $250.00 each (aftermarket) Ford one's are about $500.00 each,it took me about 4 hours total to replace them. You might want to check your dash tank switch unit also.
