1986 F250 4wd with 351-thinking of swapping a 460-advice?

Love to get more power but my c6-will that bolt up to a 460? If not, what trans would I need?

Also, worth putting headers on it? Thinking I wouldn't have room...Love to have dual glasspacks on the ends of the headers...remembering back to high school-friend had a '69 GTO with that and I loved the sound...With 4wd xfer case, doubt I'd have room...

Anyway, need advice on the 460...thanks

Great engine, but forget about gas mileage. Won't bolt to your smallblock C6. You need a C6 from a 351M/400/460.

Transfer case is not the problem. The gas tank is. If you want to do this, you are better off getting a donor truck, or another truck with the 460 already in it. You will have all the parts you need, and can sell other parts and get your money back.
