What a concept !!!!!!!!!

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/bridgesto...336609204.html

I'm sure this will resolve all our Global Warming issues !
Let's see:
looks like you can't corner,
looks like it will 'squish' in an emergency stop,
the outside rubber has to be heated to slip on... wonder what the heat in the southwest will do for it ?
the outside rubber looks like it will last at least a couple of weeks

And then there's the beauty of it

your thoughts ?

With open sidewalls, I see the probability of debris getting in there to be 100%. If it doesn't come out easily there would obviously be an out-of-balance issue. Being a car wash owner, I can picture them being a nightmare to keep clean.

My dad was around for the advent of tubeless tires. Everyone knew that was crazy and they would never hold air and repairs would be a nightmare. Well, we know how that turned out. I guess I'll wait to pass judgement.

I think I will stick with what I've got. I don't know how that would hold up to any weight at all. I would think it would compress as soon as you put a load on the vehicle or have to be so stiff that you couldn't stand the ride.

Hey, at least they are doing something to reduce our dependency on Big Air.

It's bad enough in the winter, when the inside of your wheel becomes packed with snow and ice, causing a severe imbalance. I can just imagine what would happen if 1/2 if the friggin tire (is it still called a tire?) gets filled up with snow and ice.

Can get them on a Polaris ATV also:

I've seen some testing of them on Hmmwv's. Heck, they are even coming out for bicycles too.
