87 460 Help Please

Well I have an 87 F-250 3/4 ton 4x4 with the 7.5 l single cab and my automatic tranny went out, so I got a 4 speed manual tranny out of an 86 F-250 3/4 ton 4x4 but it had a 351 in it. I have all the components to make it fit my application, besides the bell housing. So I'm searching for a FBB alumnium bell housing that will bolt up to the tranny I got. Thanks.

You need a 460 transmission. Bell housings don't change out.

So I can't get a bell housing that will make it work? And I also have a 1970 F-100 with a 360 if I can't get a bell housing I'm just gonna swap engines and do that.

I think it'd be easier to find a transmission to fit what you have than try to mount a 360 in that truck. I'm sure it has been done though.

Hydraulic bellhousings can be found but are rare because they tend to break the slave boss off.
(I know, I've done it when I had a T-19)

Hydraulic bellhousings were only made for this engine from '83 to '87.
Before that there were only automatic 460 trucks.
After that, every manual 460 came with a integral bell ZF-5.

27 year old truck parts are not falling from the sky everywhere.

OH!!!
You have a 4×4 460 box!
Those come with the 6.32:1 syncro first gear.

Too bad you didn't get the bell.

Yeah I know man haha the bell housing on my automatic transmission cracked above the starter when I changed my rear main seal out so instead of spend 1500 bucks on a pos remanufactured auto tranny, I spent like 400 for a manual and all the conversion parts besides a bell housing because I can't find one anywhere for it.
