2.79?? Wow! I don't remember the last time I paid less than $3. I'm currently paying 3.35 in my neck of the woods.

I run through Memphis all the time and will have to check that place out. We have a terminal there, so I can bobtail just about anywhere near there. If you get a chance, check out central bbq there too. The bun is just a normal bun but the bbq is excellent, so I go for the nachos.

Yeah, they want to oversupply and retain markets share too. Goal is to drive everyone one else out of business.

My father in law lived in Social Circle, so I used to stop by there any time I was visiting him. He passed away earlier this year and I haven't been back down there since then. I try to stop by a Jim n Nicks anytime I am near one. I have eaten bbq in 44 different states and 6 different countries/territories and they are one of my top 5 favorites.

I find there needs to be a significant drop in order to realize any true savings. Too many people drive 2 towns over to "save" $0.10-0.15 a gallon but burn a gallon of gas doing so.....
Now if you drive a ton you could save some I guess. But even a $.25 change per gallon (which is about what's been here) at an average if 25gal fill up (for me) and if it was every week only saves $325/yr or $6.25/week. People waste $6.25/week, or more, on other ridiculous things. Drop $1.00 or more and then I'll feel like I'm saving something.

His name was Les Konig and he worked for versatile tool as a cnc machinist. He lived in Dacula while his kids were in school and just moved to Social Circle about 5 years ago. He lived on Social Circle-Fairplay road next to a guy named Britt. My wife grew up in Tennessee though. Her mom divorced him while she was pregnant and then he moved to Georgia, so we don't know too many people down there.

Doesn't ring a bell. Almost neighbors though. I lived on Mt Paran Church rd which ends on FairPlay.
And passing through SC yesterday, saw gas for $2.71 cash and diesel for $3.09 cash.
As a side note, stopped at a QT in Maiden NC and they had a pump for ethanol free gas for the same price as premium. Never seen ethanol free gas pumps before. Would it be worth buying over the regular ethanol gas?

Also, there are major elections coming up. ....could be the real reason for dramatic price drop.
