I have heard of Blackstone but was wondering what other companies the Brotherhood was using and why you like them.

Polaris, CAT, Schaeffer's and Amsoil's OAI testing. They include Oxidation and Nitration values. These are a direct reflection of an oils serviceability (oil life).

When I had my big trucks, I used Speedco truck lube centers specifically because they had the analysis equipment on site and you got your results immediately. It made the drain-or-don't-drain decision a lot easier.

My municipality uses Titan Laboratory out of Denver for their analysis. Have been very good to us.

if you have a large cat dealer around they have the SOS labs that do UOA. you go buy the kits at 14 bucks and it includes a nylon tube to get oil in the bottles. You can send them in, the container has return postage on it. they will do TBN for the same price.

They will mail or send you email with the info. their's is not as easy to ready as blackstone for sure but the results are the same. instead of Iron it's shown as Fe.

In my area its Gregory Poole equipment company, Raleigh nc..
SOS Services, Fluid Analysis Lab, Oil Analysis Lab
