Oil in coolant, and coolant in oil.

Hello all, I have a project going where I am making 1 truck out of 2. They are both 95 F-350s, 1 two wheel drive and one four.
The question I have is in regards to the spare engine, when the truck was all together, it ran like a dream, but the oil has coolant in it and the coolant has oil in it. Both are severely contaminated.
I did a search here and found many responses for one or the other, but not both. I don't know when I will actually look into the problem as this is a spare engine, but I would appreciate any suggestions this great source of knowledge has to offer.
Thank you, D.B.

You must have had an oil cooler problem. Id pull the pan on that motor you have all the coolant in the oil and check the bearings. Bearings don't like coolant for very long.

I'd say definitely the oil cooler.
