A lot of it varies depending on how the truck is equipped. 2WD or 4x4 will make the biggest difference, as does the engine, but things like power brakes and power steering... you get my drift. I'd estimate it to be in the 5000lb range.
Thanks seems to be getting better. I have a 7000lb max car trailer and the drive is 900 miles one way. appreciate your help as well. Bought a 69 CS in Idaho and I live on the central coast of CA. Was tying to just have it shipped, but that transport business is full of BS experts....
Thanks for your help

I had my 68 CS shipped to SC from CA. Dealing with shippers was not fun. They damaged my truck, took longer than they said, etc, etc. You're doing the right thing by fetching it yourself. I would have if I could have.
Fordification also says my half ton is 3,400lb. It's not. It's 3,740lb on a full tank and that is very light. Most people's F100s are over 4,000lb.
I wonder if Fordification is using factory published numbers. I have read that manufactures would often "massage" certain figures, like horsepower ratings, for various reasons. The number did seem a little low to me.
