New to NM Chapter, looking for other old ford enthusiasts!

I drive a '78 f250 2wd inline 6, 300.
Great truck, new trans just put in it.

And I like to drive the hills around Albuquerque...well today I got in over my head and got stuck in some soft sand. Hand to call a tow truck.
It occurred to me at this time that it might be useful to know a few people in Albuquerque who love ford trucks, or go off roading around here. I could have used a buddy today!

Thinking maybe also of going with a 4X4 now after this adventure. But I love my Ford.

Anyway, my name is Jon and I live in the SW valley area of Albuquerque. If any of you guys are around these parts I'd like to say hi and maybe meet a few friends.

I've only lived in ABQ for a year now, and began restoring this truck last January. It's got a lot of work in it (new trans, new tires, new steering, new gas tank, all new hoses, rebuild engine....but needs some more (next up is the interior and then a new bed)

Hope to get to know some folks!
Jon

Welcome to ABQ and the forum. There are a few members on here that have old fords and others that go off-roading. There are only a few active NMers on the board but we've had two meet and greets in the past year/year and a half.

But, welcome again to the forums and pics, pics, pics!

Hello jp1251,
Fellow Albuquerque Ford trucker here. Cool truck you have. I not too long ago sold a 1978 Short bed 2wd F100. I now have a 1993 Supercab 4x4 F150 - Takes the whole family which is nice over my old 1978. Welcome to the forum. I am in the North Valley area of Albq.

I'm still rolling my 96PSD and 86 BII. The PSD got rear-ended by a drunk in May so it's in the body shop now. I drove away from the scene. The Toyota Yaris who hit me was totally destroyed. Amazing the 2 in the car survived.
Check my thread in the 96 7.3 forum for pics - https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-berkeley.html

I wouldn't mind a Puerco run once it starts to cool off.
