4.2l may need a new engine?

New to this forum. I am currently working on my mother's truck, the truck runs poorly. I am getting unburnt gasoline fumes, very rich. She took it to a mechanic and they said she has 2 dead cylinders. I have not confirmed that. The coil pack looks good. It OHMed out 11.0 across all 3 coils. I checked the nox valve and I saw no difference in idle. I also checked the spark plug placement on the coils and when I checked to see how the ignition was going off on the coil pack, the left side was putting out steady fire while the right side of my coil pack was putting out sporadic fire. I'm not sure if its my coil or something coming from the computer. I haven't torn into the engine to check the gaskets. I have oil fouling in the back 2 cylinders and carbon fouling in the middle 2 and the front 2 are clean. The truck is in constant misfire. I have no power. In low RPM's it runs rough. In higher RPM's it's runs enough to get rid of the shaking. I am at a dead end. I would rather not tear into the motor unless I have to. I have also not pulled any codes yet and I will update when I do so. I would like some advice to see what else I could check or someone to help maybe pin point what other problems could be. Please help!

Thanks!

Pulling codes has to be your best route for diagnosis. Looks like you've gone through the check list of standard checks but pulling codes can be a huge help.
