Since we have posted limits, no vehicle should be able to exceed them, we'll make it a safer world, what a bunch of hypocrites, to indicate there are vehicles who should be exempt of the law due to design!

Unfortunately that seems to be a causality of seeking multiple answers to just one question and persisting on even more answers after one or more valid replies should have sufficed.

Sorry , I missed it. You are the only one who deserves an apology.
Others were helpful
BUT.....
It was the other posts that threw me. I don't know who is who here.
I didn't seek any different answers , i was hoping others would give me the benefit of their experiences or perhaps a cheaper tuner option.
I did not expect the nanny BS such as post #8 , #13 , #14 , #22 or the gas saving crap #17 , the foolishness of #18 , the unsolicited advice of #20 , the lack of comprehension of the people who posted #28 and #29 since a new question was asked in regards to concerning whether the ECU was VIN specific (which is still unanswered) as changing the ECU was also given as an option .
So I guess some will be pissed off.
I just wanted an answers to my questions. Not pontificating.
Was I wrong in expecting that ?

Which I did NOT do.
I got 3 answers ( tune , change ecu or dealer re-program) to 1 question and asked a 2nd (about VIN specificity to ECU) which is still unanswered here (but google got me the answer)
That being said , I am open to suggestions if there IS another option. I think that about covers it .

You're not helping yourself here----that much should have been obvious earlier on.

Apologize, don't apologize, **** some off, don't **** anyone off, get contentious with those expressing an opinion or different POV---you'll get just as much back as you put in here on FTE.

Whether you want to acknowledge or agree an E-Series van over 75 MPH is a bit unsafe that's fine. What you consider as being a safe speed with you at the wheel is a matter of opinion. Those disagreeing with that aren't insulting or citing your lack of driving skills, they're more addressing that chassis/body not being at its best at that speed.

As is often said online "IMHO" or YMMV" which carries tacit understanding we're all different and not necessarily trying to too harshly criticize or bash another, simply expressing personal ideas.

Ease up----we're here to help anyone whether we think they're pursuing or acting in their own best interests OR potentially exposing others to unsafe practices or actions. If driving an E-Series 75, 85 or more MPH's didn't affect another driver on a shared highway none of us would have had an issue with any of this.

Best of luck!

You chose to bash me.You gave your reasons. I pretty much ignored the BS until you chose to bash me by making incorrect observations , that much should have been obvious earlier on.
I showed the errors of those .
I thank those who helped.
I apologized to one who deserved it.

I gotta say, it has to be set by the previous owner, I don't know of any with a limiter, I know a guy with a heavy hand that owns a 2001, the only way to remove it is a tuner, or replace the ECU.

Actually, the speed limiter is a dealer option in fleet vans, either 65, or 75.

Mine was a shuttle for a hotel or airport, guess they want fast deliveries so no limiter. LoL

Finally got a cheap(?) solution

JET Performance 15003, JET Performance Programmers | JET Performance

Not as good as real programming but it will fix my speed limiter issue and maybe provide some tuning benefit.I hope it's functional , if not I'll return it.

My other option was 400.00+

Interesting........hmmm.

I'll be interested knowing how this turns out or to what extent it can/does allow a user to change performance parameters.

I'd love to "massage" my trans shift points.
