That looks like fun, Sean. The kids are going to have fun with those, come the big night.

I am heading for the Sierras today. Got a couple of weeks to tromp around doing whatever.

Leif Ericson beat him by almost 500 years. Interesting that Columbus is credited with discovering America, yet technically he never landed on America. Just the islands in the Caribbean. One thing I do not understand though is how do you discover a place that already has people there? Would stand to reason that America was "discovered" by the first people to inhabit it. Of course one could also argue that prior to either Leif or Chris landing there the Europeans did not know of the place, so in that respect it was discovered.

Bill,

Don't know if you're going to read this before you leave, but a Happy 60 Years to you!

Have a great time in the Sierras! It'll go by before you know it, though, so savor each moment!

Well,

We went down to the Pomona Fairflex Sat evening to enjoy the AMA Flat Track final, 2014 event. They also held the finals for Speedway Flat track.

It sure reminded me of watching midwest racing up in Bemidji, Mn. Lot's of access to the track, pits, and the beer stands too.

Some past old timers bikes and racers too.

Wow, I have not seen a Bultaco in a long time. Are they even in business anymore?

Cool pics by the way.

Nope, went out of business in the mid 80's. Someone picked up the remnants and produced trials bikes for awhile. Not sure he's still in bus.

I used to be a Montessa fan when I was a teen, and I heard they were bought out by Bultaco way back when.
