We are all racing to get things done before the weather gets cold so time is running out.
I appreciate the offer, maybe next year will be a little calmer and there will be some time to hang awhile.
Dave, I am really sorry that you can't join us.
Just to repeat a past recommendation, you live in the north and you need a heated work space! My first one when living in Vermont in the early 70's was a wood stove in the garage with a stack out thru the top of a double hung window!

Thanks,
Oh yeah and I got plenty of stuff to burn too, ever see a used oil filter get tossed in a wood stove?
I work in the garage all winter, I have a hot air furnace I use sparingly with the cost of oil. I dont heat it a lot because of the size of the building, but I may drop some plastic walls this year to wall off a "warm room" instead of a "well at least my shoes are not frozen to the ground" room. Build all winter, drive all summer..

I did use a plastic wall back in the 70. I agree with build all winter and play all warmer weather. The difference is build in a warm shop. I do remember your posts last winter relating frozen extremities.

Gettysburg is great, my wife and I love it, so well done. My wife also loved the discount mall shops nearby. My first visit just saw the museum and inside displays, a quick visit. Second time we hired one of the guides for $60 for two hours, who drove our car around all the battle sites and explained to us how the battle started and progressed. What a wonderful job they have done there.

My daughter lives North of there and her birthday is today. So maybe I should go and see her next year for her birthday? How about posting up some pictures?

Gettysburg Eddie's is my favorite. I've eaten at O'Rourke's multiple times and it is also very good. The best bang for the buck is Pickett's Buffet. If you leave Gettysburg hungry there is no one to blame but yourself. Bon Appetit.

(Bill - thanks for the PM)

2014 Hershey is now history. We had good weather and Stu, Truckdog, with his wife Sandy and I did get together for dinner Wednesday night. It was great to manage to meet Stu and share stories. I think that we may have talked Labrador Retrievers as much as trucks! We did spend Friday at Gettysburg which was excellent and I highly recommend.

Great to connect, Bill, and to meet your friend Bob (do I remember that right?). Talking trucks, cars, and dogs....nothing better. Congrat's on the new pup. Sandy asked that I have you give her updates as she grows. And any time you have a question speak up.

Gettysburg is worth multiple visits. As Bob J suggested we did the full immersion tour. And Sandy spent a second day doing a driving/walking tour of the battlefields with the dogs when I was up at Hershey. We did hit Gettysburg Larry's, Dobbin's, and made several visits to the Blue Gray, Lincoln Diner and Friendly's.

Hershey is huge! Bigger than Iola. Wish I'd found more of the odd pieces I was after, but it wasn't meant to be. And sorry the meet up with Abe didn't work out. Somebody else gets to score that bed. Stu

Edit - jafo56: wish we'd have connected. Barney too. There were a lot of his cousins in Gettysburg last week. Stu
