window regulator rivet size and type
I need some quick info guys. I have tomorrow off. Don't work till Friday night. So I'm finally going to try my rear power window conversion.
So here is the project in total. My dash squeals like a pig. I went to the junkyard and got the main dash piece. I have a brand new replacement dash wiring harness WITH RKE and I have the module. No wires cut on this harness. It's for a 95' (mine is a 94') but it doesn't have anti theft for the keypad entry wiring so I don't have to worry about leaving things out.
My old dash squeals so bad that I want it gone. The mounting bracket that normally breaks on the passenger side has already broken, the two mounts that come out of the firewall on the bottom are broken as well and some of the spots where trim screws into the rear piece of the dash are broken enough so that the metal nuts that stick in place won't stay put.
I have power regulators and motors for the rear, I have the wiring for the whole inside of the truck. It even has the wiring for the dome light above the passenger seat but I noticed that the trucks that have that, have a mount that is tack welded to the roof of the cab. Until I can get my welding buddy to do that for me, I'll just leave the wiring hanging inside the headliner.
I have the trim pieces for the rear door panels that will pop in that have the electric switches, I have the newer crew cab door panel and the mounting ring and the switch so all I have to do is get to work.
I just need to know what size and type of rivets to use. I'm assuming it's 1/4" but I'm not sure and I don't want to use nuts and bolts because they will just come loose
