i've got a 2006 f250 with 160,000 miles, trans was rebuilt by previous owner about 10,000 miles ago. the tow/haul light started blinking yesterday, only blinks for first couple of minutes of driving and then stops. service engine light popped on today as well. won't have access to a code reader until tomorrow, but looking for some prelimary info and wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue.

 

No experience but they are probably related.


You might be able to get the code read at an autoparts store but maybe not since it might be a trans code.


Also since it was rebuilt not that long ago, any chance of a warranty still? That is where I would take it if so.

 

that indicates tranny issues --- good luck - and hope the warranty on the rebuild is good !

 

There are at least 50 different things that can flash the tow/haul light. guessing at which one of those things is the problem is worse than useless.
