what to paint my frame wiith

Hey guys i actually got allot of cab work done.. and plan on swapping cabs a little early this year.. i plan on doing it with in a couple weeks...my question here is what to pain the frame with?

i had good luck with por 15 over the years i painted truck frame..it lasted a while but is there better stuff?

My frames in reall good condition..no rot honestly just surface rust here and there.. i plan on wire wheeling it with an angle grinder and a coned wire wheel..

should i sand it before the p15? and how about the por 15 primer they have? and whats your opinion on clear coating it?

i just want the frame to last a while...thanks

Sandblasted, two coats of Rustoleum rusty metal primer, two coats of Valspar semi-gloss black enamel.

I personally like rustoleum as well since it is an easy touchup

With basic prep like you are planning, I've had good luck with both Red Rustoleum and Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. My dent frame was needle peened and wire wheeled followed by Red Rustoleum primer and Rustoleum satin black. Looks good and has held up pretty well. Goes without saying, need to get it completely clean and grease free to start. POR 15 seems to work well for some and not so well for others. I've never used it.

I blasted, epoxy primered then a couple coats of black Tractor Enamel from TSC (Tractor Supply). pix are in my link/sig.

it's been sitting outside in the sun almost two years now waiting for me to finish and is doing fine.

With how you are going to clean it I think a rust encapsulator or convertor bought at any hardware, then black rustoleum would last a long time.
