1996 F250 5.8 OBD I, remote TFI module - crank no start
1996 F250 5.8 OBD I, 60 pin ECM, TFI with Ignition module mounted on fender, C-6 - Driving down highway and engine stops running. Ignition not firing. Ignition module, coil, PIP sensor, wiring harness all ok. Run wire from battery + to pin 6 on Ignition module and engine starts and runs. Only ignition problem I can find is ECM Pin # 56 has 5v with key in run position. #56 is connected to pin 6 on ignition module and PIP sensor on distributor. Do I hot wire ignition and bypass the ECM voltage or replace the ECM and risk getting a good one? This is my first ECM episode. Thanks.
