We got about 3 inches of rain since Sunday. I hope it's drier where you guys are. The good news is a cold front is following the rain that will put our temps in the 60s for highs. I'm sick of hot weather.

No. 1 Mississippi State: Proof That Money Isn?t Everything - WSJ

State's entire FB program: $15 million, Say-been's salary: $11 million.

Also, this pretty well explains how its the SEC vs. the rest of college football:

SEC West hits 26-0 as LSU beats Florida - SBNation.com

Everybody have a great week.
Good read, thanks for sharing. It amazed me that the "committee" allowed State the number one spot, not because they don't deserve it, because no one it seems can swallow the fact that MSST is as good as they are!!
Oddly enough, I get more "thumbs up" from LSU fans than Ole Miss, UofM fans it seems really hate the rankings.... worse than any other SEC fans I've met thus far.

It would be soo nice to have State and Ole Miss remain undefeated until the Egg Bowl.

David, I've just been swamped the last several days, was able to get off the rig Monday after 21 days, got called right back Friday morning, didn't even knock a dent in all the routine crap around the house. I'm sure you can relate to that, but alas, this too will pass. Occupational hazard I suppose.

Comes with the territory. My job is pretty much "feast or famine", gotta make hay when you can, I guess. (That's how I placate myself anyway!)
Hope all is well with you and yours. From the weather out here, looks like ya'll might be in for a fair amount of rain soon.

Ya'll stay safe out there!

I guess that's a good thing, (or bad thing, according to individual perspective). Warden says they have been having beautiful weather in H'burg, or course she says it's too cold at night (typical Ms. gal!). Looking forward to Saturday, MSST / UK and UofM / LSU. You never know what will happen, but I think a MSST win is a given, Ole Miss may have a few problems with LSU at Death Valley, we'll see.

I am definetly a minority out here, surrounded by LSU, 'Bama & Ole MIss fans!

Of course the new commitee has their vote on the 28th (I think) going to be interesting to see as 4 of the top 5 in the nation are all in the SEC West, no way they will allow 1 division of one conference to remain the top 4, realistically, IMO, FSU shouldn't be where they're at if you factor in their schedule, etc... Oh well. Have a good one.

Good Afternoon Mississippi!

TGIF, hope evryone has a great weekend, looks like ya'll will have some nice weather. Anxious to see MSST play, it's supposed to be a "gimme" against UK, but you never know in the SEC. Also want to see how U of M plays out in Death Valley.....interesting weekend for sure.

Afternoon Mississippi. Have a good weekend. I have a new scope for my 22. It's bore sighted but I need to finish sighting it in. I bought a BSA Sweet 22 3x9x40. Its a cool scope. It compensates for 36,38,& 40 grain bullets out to 100 yards. The tree rats better look out. I will be able to siot in one place near a hickory grove & head shoot them

Glad you're keeping the faith out there amongst the heretics, Mitch. Had to feel sorry for Miles Sat nite. Saw who stood up to pressure in Death Valley & who didn't. Ugly *** game though for both.

Howard, new toys are always best when they need a little tweeking to make em' perfect to use. Enjoy.

Gator sent me a pic of this big ole' stainless steel cooker he acquired that should quadruple his output. Comes with wheels so he can drag it behind him running through the woods if the revenuers show up.

Y'all have a great week.

David >> Post some of the pics I sent you. I found a jack pot for old Fords today. I may have to wait until he dies to get them. I sure hope not, he looks like he could make it another two years or so.
