Ok I have replaced almost every sensor, filter, so on... To get this beast running. I refuse to give up and thank god for fat pockets right now. I have spent in the neighborhood of $3000.00 since the "break down" and that was pretty much running out of fuel. Found oil to be low and so i changed it and the filter as well. This baby is a 2000 f-250 7.3. Parts replaced....icp, icm, pcm, cps, batterys, starter, fuel filter, gpr,.... Any help would be apperciated. Oh and since the new pcm no codes. I can get the truck to run with a bump of either and 1/4 throttle, and keep it running for quite some time , but when i let off of throttle it dies. It dies at about 1400 rpm

What are you using to check codes. do you have a scan tool. Time to look at sensors and see what is broken. No need to throw any more parts at it. Cost too much to try to fix it that way.

The last link in my signature will show the key ingredients for start and idle - if you have a scan tool. Your device looks to be a code reader and nothing more - please correct me if I'm wrong.

Blind Buck$Zooka blasts: $3000.00

Scan tool (like AE Ford Enhanced) for now and the future (if you already have a laptop/netbook) $370.

OBDII scan gauge - anywhere from $100 on-the-cheap to $400 for the mondo deluxe.

You may have one side not firing. Use a meter to check the injectors for continuity. the linked print and pic of plug will show you what to ohm out.

If your truck will only start with ether, you need to be looking at compression numbers. Until you do that, don't put another dime into it my fellow Texan.

It could be compression, but I'd lean more toward it being a low ICP issue, at least initially. Either IPR, a major internal leak, or weak HPOP. A scan tool would probably be very beneficial.

You said original problem was low oil. What about the fuel? Is your tank 1/2 full or more? If the foot valve in the tank came off (very common) will run out of fuel around 1/4 tank. Or possibly when it was ran low, crap made its way into the in tank screens (also common). Good time for the Hutch and Harpoon mods if you haven't done them already. Failing this, I would look at the IPR valve real hard. The symptoms sound like a stuck IPR, will start on ether but then die. Bad battery cables will allow the engine to spin, but not have enough voltage to fire the injectors.

Sound like it isn't building enough hydraulic pressure (ICP) to start. Could be stuck IPR, high pressure oil leak, or even a bad HPOP.
