Hey youins. Today is a busy day of running stuff back to where it came from. I think I'll get to kick back about midnight. The kids will be heading to Branson for their honeymoon tomorrow. Their fishing tackle is more important to them than nice clothes for their honeymoon.

Evening All!

I got the van and the Honda done. I also got most of the trailer done, but I ran out of 1/8" plate to make tail light surrounds so they won't go through as many tail lights going through the woods.

I may have a trade deal for the Dodge. A '78 F-250 2wd. It has a worked 460 and a C6. The body looks amazing, not sure about the interior. Honestly don't care much. Straight across deal. He's coming out on top, but I get a dentside version of the Dodge, and I'm ok with that. Nobody has been beating down my door trying to buy the Dodge, and I figure a new coat of paint and some TLC and I could much easier sell this truck for a little more.

 

Red Bronco drive in the woods, across the the field and creek, check.
Started ol Silver and took it down the road, check.
Started ol Blue and took it down the road, check.
Polished up the dead headlights on Penny's rig and my Dodge, check.
Trying to figure out the wiring/elec issue on the frame rig.....still checking?
Gathered up some Ford parts to mail to Norway.
Worked on some around the house stuff.

 

sounds good alan.. if you are happy with the deal that is all that matters..

i got a lot more parts and furniture moved out today.. now if i can get the little bit of remodeling done i will be ready for my new room mate.. ha ha ha ha

Looks like the trade is gonna happen. I should have 5 dents by the end of the day tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. RC, you're working awful hard to get ready for your roommate, kudos to you for being such a good dad, still hard to believe you're old enough to have a kid already living on their own. Alan and Rich, that's good to hear for the both of you.

 

chip i may not be as good of a dad as you think!!!.. since i have moved most of the old car parts and my toys out of my house it feels so empty and not like home anymore. i have thought about calling sheryl and telling her i changed my mind and am going to keep my house.. ha ha ha ..
but really i guess it may be a good thing.. i may even start eating 3 squares a day at a decent hour, wearing clean clothes everyday and living like a civilized human instead of a animal like i have since i lost trish....

Well, I have 5 dents. The guy posted some old pictures that made it look a lot better than it was. Mechanically, the truck is in awesome shape. It runs down the road like a new one, the trans shifts nice and smooth, the brakes and steering work great. I just have to make it pretty now. ......and in keeping with my streak of luck lately, I have to buy a friggin' windshield for it. That's 5 windshields I've had to buy for the past six trucks I brought home. ....oh, well. I'm still happy. This truck will be worth more than the Dodge in the end. I won't even have to dump a ton of money into it.
