I really need to see if I can get off for this G2G

sportage fans on FTE... we just upgraded to a new sportage in 2013 when we got the new edition to the family - wanted the wife to be in something I don't have to worry about since I work a lot - and I work at a kia store... so it was an obvious decision.

did have some fun loading the truck on the trailer at the store today....

the trailer was up at the asphalt when we started to put it on the trailer - I was behind the wheel of the the crew cab and the e-brake was on, on the ford truck that had the trailer on it... the weight of the crew cab pushed the truck and trailer down the hill... that building in the background is about 50 ft lower grade than where we were... had manual brakes (no engine or tranny) - luckily it stopped before i hit another car sitting around, or went down the hill. We quickly threw some rocks under the tires of the truck and trailer and let the crew cab coast the rest of the way onto the trailer.

I had to check my undies when I got out of the crewcab...

It was almost a bad idea to let gravity help us get the truck on the trailer. But nothing got hurt... so no big deal.

Oh yea that was a accident waiting to happen, winch on and winch off is the smart way....I say that even though we.....

We almost had a bad one unloading Alan's wrecker, we gravity unloaded it, in his drive way up against his house/garage. We got it stopped just in time, sorry no pics, we were a little busy stopping traffic to do it.

When ol #88 got sold...I seen to remember Alan almost got hurt unloading it. And this time too....I think ol red **** fell of the back of the trailer?

Ol Alice earns her keep, for sure.

Yeah. Ole' 88 ran me over. I ducked under the trailer when it went over me. It coasted off the trailer and across the road in to Brian's front yard.

Red was no big deal. The thing was so tall, it just slipped off the trailer and the tire sat on the ground. The axle didn't even hit the trailer.

I got the front of the cab back together on the '48. It turned out pretty nice. I even got the steering column and pedal assemblies mounted in there. I should have it steering tomorrow. ....Done by Friday?

Alan I am looking into late next week, or even after that. I have a VA appt on Monday, everything is based off the VA appt and the follow on appts.

I really doubt the SMORR thing will work out, besides who else has a trail rig (Chris in KC has a jeep)...

Gents, found my way to October! Leave for school on Saturday in KC. Finally got all the paperwork done and sent in. But just found out there is 67 pages I just got in an email...urggg

That book is still on its way Alan. Still shows its coming on the tracking on eBay.

I went to a buddies gun shop today and tried out the 40 cal s&w m&p. I liked the feel in my hand. Real nice balance and grip feel. Wierd new trigger system but feels smooth.

Need the s10 inspected tomorrow morning.

Lots of miles this month.

One week of shooting, 1.5 weeks of defensive tactics, book work and touring fed buildings. I get back the 24th. But I dont work till November? Hope that is wrong. I think I might have to wait till the next schedule comes out. Urggg

Well, its good to know I'm not alone in the "this should work ok" method. I got most everything cleaned up at the shop for the guys to be able to do some other work than mine tomorrow. I gotta be back at it at 8 in the morning to work... First of the month meeting... fun fun...

yea chip.. my oldest sheryl, her and her husband renny retire in november.. i put the house in her name years ago.. she wants to finish the house so i will have my own room.. but i think i would rather just live in the "magic bus".. it is plenty good enough for me, and taz said it is ok with her..

i hope so chip.. seven years ago when i told her she can have my house when she retires seemed like it was so far off... it should be ok i guess i dont really need this house anyway.. since my wife died all i do is keep it junked up with car parts and stuff .. looks more like a shop or warehouse in here than it does a home anyway.... ask alan about having to move crankshafts and flywheels so i could plug in the saw in the kitchen.. ha ha ha ha
