Just traded my F350 SRW LB on a 2015 F450. Should have it next week.
The waiting will kill me.
Congrats! I test drove a DRW and all I can say is the ride is much smoother and more Planted than a SRW. With the New GCWR of 40K lbs do you need a CDL to drive one?

Not for personal use...I used to drive a 40ft motorhome pulling a hummer and a Harley and didn't need one.

Thanks for the reply. I may upgrade and wanted to be sure. I'm thinking a huge slide in camper for my primary residence and want all the payload I can muster. The F-450 should fit the bill.

I think the GAWR is reduced on the F-450 because the weight of the truck is greater with the heavier axles. Gotta stay under that 14K rating. In reality, the F-450 will carry more due to the heavier axles and tires.

I drove both, the 350 drw and the 450...The 450 was a MUCH better ride, it felt really solid and smoooooooth...For the very small price difference it made sense.
I'm thinking the upgraded parts on the New F-450 has a lot to do with it's smoother ride. Between the two, the F-450 does seem to have a more comfortable ride. Decisions, decisions...

Looks to me like your mind is made up! Go ahead with 450 IMO, otherwise, you'll be "second guessing" yourself.....
