Not many people know about these tires. Or the Hercules brand for that matter.

Hercules designed this tire to be tough, and it is. The R/S stands for RUGGED SERVICE

Anyway, I installed a pair of the Terra Trac R/S tires on the back of my 2wd F-100. 31x10.50R15

Overall I am very happy with the performance of these tires. They get awesome traction on road and off road!

I have had the truck loaded up with a few thousand pounds and the tires carried it very well.

I have a several thousand miles on them and they are not really showing any wear.



Bottom line here, if you need a cheap all terrain / traction tire, look at the R/S.

 

Just an update. I had to replace one due to a large nail taking out the sidewall. Did the math and with 7,000 miles on this tire, it only wore 1/8". So that means about 30,000 tread life. But I don't drive lightly, and they are still soft, so maybe wear will slow down.
