Dang it. I thought this was a right side. Anyway, it's a good left if someone wants it. I also have the center red lens that has a swap meet label calling it NOS. These came with a rusty panel that I later traded off to a local kid.

It's known as a Panel Delivery, not a Panel Van. Ask for Panel Van lamps, you might get P Series Parcel Delivery or Econoline lamps.

Here's the story, it's sad but true, about new Panel Delivery lamps that I once knew.

1960: Ford closed the Long Beach assembly plant, an L/A wrecking yard bought all the leftover assembly line parts which includes 100's of these R/L panel lamps.

Several years ago, all were scrapped. When I asked why, owner said they needed the space in the bins for newer parts.

I bought a coupla pairs from them in the late 1960's, think I paid about 5 bucks each.

Took them to swap meets for about 10 years, couldn't sell even one side, as no one wanted them. Today, it's a different story.

See lower pic for the R/L tail lamps.

I never did like the look of the original tail light assemblies nor the difficulty of trying to obtain them so I cut out and grafted in a set of round econoline ones. Funny thing is the arc of the rear corner sheet metal was exactly the same so they fit perfectly with little filler to be used
