blinker issues

Any ideas why blinkers would work when truck is first started, then just quite? I want the truck to be road safe. I dont need any more tickets.

Sure. It's an electrical problem. More investigation and troubleshooting required for you to do....

When the signals quit, do the hazard lights and flashers still work?

Do all of the turn signal lamps work or just fail to flash (cycle)?

Review the circuit diagrams and find the likely culprit. Post back your findings.

I am kinda having the same problem my dash turn light arrow is on when my lights are turned on I haven't looked into it yet so it may be a backwards wire and would this cause the park light to not work

C'mon boys.... you can do it. Barring hacked wiring there are really only TWO logical possibilities.

.. and wires don't mysteriously become "backwards"... Unless of course Obama is teaching basic electricity these days.

1973/77 F100/350:

Two 2 prong flashers, one for the turn signals, a H/D unit for the 4 way flashers.

Three different T/S switches: A/T, M/T, 1975/77's with Speed Control.

You forgot the part numbers for Blinker Fluid!

jk, any update on this?

edit: I found these how to read schematics: http://www.wikihow.com/Read-Schematics
Hope this helps!

Also, some more how to's: http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars...enance/4314662 http://www.ask-the-electrician.com/h...ring-problems/

Tools you might need: a decent Multimeter and/or a testlight but mostly your brain is your best tool. If it helps, think of each wire as a pipe of electrons and flows about through them, through your load (lights) and then through the chassis (ground). (the wrinkle is that electrons flow from the negative to positive).

Also I really hate these light sockets And would be the first place I would look for leaking blinker fluid

A pipe full of electrons? Way too complicated.
As an electrician, I always think of electricity as plastic tubes full of smoke. As long as the smoke stays in the tubes, all is good.
But we all know what happens when the smoke leaks out, don't we?

Seriously, Zark-eh offers some very good advice. Don't try to over complicate things. Take one wire at a time and prove it out. Make sure all connections are clean, tight and corrosion free.
