Assuming you are happy with the rest of the wheel once painted.

I think you could run a drill bit thru that hole and maybe go up to the next valve stem size, not sure if they have other sizes but just a thought.

I think I'm going to be running tubes sp the have stem thing wouldn't be a problem. My concern is that the pitting on the one wheel is so bad that the structural integrity is compromised around the point. The pictures don't show it very clearly but the pitting on the bad wheel is far deeper than the wheel I almost finished sandblasting in the photos.

I would not use the most corroded wheel. The other wheels I would use.

I also would not use thie corroded rim, but I would consider using it for a sprare tire/rim combo mounted under the truck.

Being F250 wheels even with the pitting it can probably still handle more weight than a good f1 wheel.

I would run it until you find a replacement, which means I would run it forever.

I did away with my original rims and went to the junk yard and picked up 4 8 lug 16x7 rims, painted them white, placed 4 hub cap tabs on each rim, and used the original F250 hub caps on my "HULK" to get the nice smooth original look. See pics on my album or I can send you some.

I already have 4 good ones so the badly corroded one isn't a terrible loss to me. My friend with the junkyard has a few 51-52 F2s that I'll probably be able to grab some wheels from. As I understand they are the same as long as I get 16s.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I like finding out all the people into these old trucks in the Midwest. It seems like everyone here is on one of the coasts or Southwest.

Just a quick update here. I got one wheel primed and ready for paint. Now I get to do this 3 more times.

That looks really good. Do you have a chest sandblaster?

Yeah its a pretty big old empire abrasives rig. It has some trouble clearing out all the dust so it looks like we have to go with an even bigger fan and its kind of leaky through the gloves area. We got it used and not working because we figured we would be steps ahead of one of those little bench top deals.

I really appreciate all the support and encouragement and I haven't been able to work on the truck much lately since I've just gotten too busy. But in the meantime I was wondering if there was any required reading that would help me with this project or references that are just nice to know, like shop manuals, etc. Does anyone have any good ideas?
