New sd have a few questions on obs and sd forum

Got a sd 7.3 last night. 6 speed 4 door
I'm planning on doing some maintenance like

oil change.
Fuel filter change.
Tranny oil change.

Anything else I should check for ?

Let me first say I bought this pickup from a dealer and they knew nothing of the vehicles past maintenance. Only carfax. So I'm asking these questions with no prior knowledge either.

What should I do if synthetic oil was used possibly by the PO?

And what tranny oil is used in the zf6? In my obs I use redline full synthetic, is this the same for zf6? Thanks guys. I'm going to post this in 94-97&sd forum.

Use a good diesel rated engine oil of your choice dino or synthetic. The ZF6 takes the same oil as the ZF5, Mercon/Dextron.

my opinion is if regular oil is good enough for ford to put in the engine, why waste money on synthetic?

valvoline all fleet 15-40. as per blackstone extend change interval to 12,000 miles. but i will stay at the 10,000 mile change interval.
and the truck fires rite up at -10 degrees without any problems at all.
so like i said, i feel synthetic is a waste of money.

Yeah. It has a really nice rear bumper. Brand new bed liner. Great interior and exterior. I'm happy !
