switch on fly 4x4

Hi was wonder if i buy a 4x4 with switch on the fly tranfer case if there is a way of putting tranfer case into nuetral for towing

the 4 x 4 engagement has two sections. The first is a motor operated engangement for the transfer case to the front drive shaft. The second is a vacuum cylinder engagement internal to the front axle that engages the half shafts. There is no "neutral"... the front hubs and half shafts will spin all the time in 2 x 4... the driveshaft and transfer case will not be engaged in 2 x 4.
