You are not in Canada though, are you? You work for a call centre and you cannot do anything to help, can you?

Had my GMC Yukon 17 years, took it to the dealer one time for a brake issue and they screwed up things that weren't wrong to begin with. That was the last time that vehicle ever saw the dealer, dealers suck. Needed a truck and decided to go back to Ford, no government bailout, kudos to Ford. Traded that old Yukon in on a new, 2013 Lariat with the FlexFuel 5.0 liter and it will take a blown engine for my truck to ever see the dealer. They can offer free oil changes and whatever but dealers just screw you over, glad I'm mechanically inclined and I feel sorry for women that fall prey to the dealers.

All my kids have been wrench turners since little. Yes I'm quite proud. Now if they could only return when they borrow.

That is a tacky statement about women, fish27wiz. I know many men in that category as well. It's been taught in schools and society for many generations that it's uncivilized to get your hands dirty to earn a living. Vloney, you're down by Fort Lost In The Woods? Got a lot of bad memories about that area, mostly basic training during the Viet Nam War era. I actually caught myself turning my head toward Waynesville passing by the entrance of Ft. Wood on I-44 a few years ago. LOL

If you find a really good mechanic it is a wonderful thing you should not take for granted. Few and far between. But then again, it's hard to find a really good doctor too. It's a small percentage of people that excel in any line of work.
Also, keep in mind a mechanic usually cannot be expected to fix a design issue. Got to push on the company in those cases.

It must be in the design. My '06 F150 the A/C wasn't nearly as cold as my '95 F150 was. They used same refrigerant. It could be a difference in condensors. Maybe the older ones transferred heat better. Maybe it's the blend door design. Maybe there's a difference in other components contributing to the problem. Our '02 Taurus will freeze you out if you let it. The '06 F150 wasn't nearly that good. I would grade it as barely adequate.
