You need a schematic for the 'Hot Fuel Handling' system for a 1986 truck?

PM 'Subford'.
He seems to have moved his Photobucket illustrations.
My links don't work any more.

I could walk you through it, as I know it by heart, but I don't have a picture.

Dort,
I've been trying to find the wiring schematics for my 86 F250 with a 460. Searched the threads and found Haynes manuals aren't that great nor are chiltons. Im mainly dealing with the lights. My truck has a relay under the hood which is tagged for tow. Can you help me with a wiring diagram. I tried a link posted in FTE called helminc, but says at this time its unavailable.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Bret!

Are asking about the trailer brake controller relay?

If you are looking for an EVTM for your '86, you can often find them on Ebay.

Hi, thanks for the welcome.
I don't think this is the brake controller relay because, when I tested it, and pulled on the headlight switch it activated the relay, and the ford wiring harness tag say "tow", so I think its a direct "running light circuit" for a trailer.
Im not sure what you mean by EVTM, but Im looking for a schematic for the lights because Im getting feedback through my grounds and want to try and trace and eliminate via the schematic.

Is your 250 a dually?
Factory tow package?

The Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual takes the whole wiring of the truck and breaks it out circuit by circuit.
It has wiring diagrams that are individual, rather than hundreds of lines crossing and joining.
These are factory schematics, so each connector and splice is identified.

The troubleshooting thing....
Symptoms.
Possible causes. A, B, C, D.
Step by step diagnosis.
i.e. "If (A) backprobe the red wire of connector C-123, resistance to ground should be 47 to 63 ohms, if (B) go directly to step 7."
Etc...

It is clear, concise and greatly simplified from an all in one schematic.
Helm Inc. publishes these.

I just searched Ebay and that one popped up.
Often when an Ebay link is posted on the forum someone will ****** up the item.

Just do your own Ebay Motors search and 'follow' it.
The next time one pops up you will be notified.

I didn't think there were 250 duallies, but I have only seen lighting relays on them.
My truck is a bricknose that was ordered with the full trailer package, but the relay option may be for trucks with clearance lights.
IDK..
