Check the price for one at Summit or JEGS for a comparison to new.

Yes, that's a pretty good price. A new one costs about $265, plus tx. That's funny, we both want to get rid of the header, and you did it. Now we both want to change from the DP, and you did it first.

You'll have to post the differences you notice between the two.

Haha I know dude... it's crazy I went to this swap meet looking for another carburetor and in the section of this guy's collection of intake manifolds there it was the C series, this guy bead blasts the intakes and straight edges the ports make sure there good to go. He was a tough one to talk down but it's mine now. I probably won't put it on till next year I plan on pulling the engine to replace the rear main and I also wanted to clean up the engine bay a little more as well maybe give the engine a good paint job not a quick one like I did the first time.

Maybe you have already done it, but I was told by Harte3 to try the one piece pan gasket before changing the rear main. Evidently what may look like the rear main might actually be the gasket.

I'm not sure I can wait until next year to hear about the C.

Yup...mine had a leak and thought it was the rear main seal but turned out to be the pan gasket.

Can the rear main be replaced without dropping the trans? If it can, might be worth it to replace with the pan out ...

Also, Mine was a leak, now is painted and nice and oil free all the way back to the t-case

If it could be replaced without the Trans being dropped that would be great! But I highly doubt it is possible.
