Change back from '52 grill to '50
I am looking at what it would take to convert my 1950 F2 back to a monkey face. Has anyone done this? I think that the front fenders are the same. Some of the parts are obvious but what about:
I would need to replace the lower fender panels
I would need all the parts in this diagram except the FORD letters?
1952 grille & related parts
1948-50 hood & related parts. Some parts look the same as 1952.
1952 hood & related parts
- hood hinges
- the hood radiator baffle
- FORD letters
- headlight buckets

About the only parts you can use without a problem is the FORD, they are the same for '48-50 and '52, '51 didn't use them.
The '51-52 fenders are completely different in the front halves, they will not accept the Monkey Face grill without doing MAJOR work. Even the under the fender supports are very different. Using the later style hood on the earlier style can be done but he latching system is totally different and again, will need major modifications to make it work. You'd be way better off finding a complete '48-50 front end, believe me, it will be well worth it.

Do you mean the inner fenders? Yes, they are longer for the 48-50. The braces that bolt into the radiator saddle are the same.
Worth it? To ditch the stylish '51 - '52 front end with three (not two!) teats?? No way!

Ross, I was mistaken. I had a person with a '51/52 truck ask if I had the fender support, I did but it was for a F-2 to F-6 fender, which is different than the F-1 fenders.

I'd sure looove to have those parts, just to have parts, but I have no use and no room for them!
