Change back from '52 grill to '50

I am looking at what it would take to convert my 1950 F2 back to a monkey face. Has anyone done this? I think that the front fenders are the same. Some of the parts are obvious but what about:
  1. hood hinges
  2. the hood radiator baffle
  3. FORD letters
  4. headlight buckets

I would need to replace the lower fender panels

I would need all the parts in this diagram except the FORD letters?

1952 grille & related parts

1948-50 hood & related parts. Some parts look the same as 1952.

About the only parts you can use without a problem is the FORD, they are the same for '48-50 and '52, '51 didn't use them.

The '51-52 fenders are completely different in the front halves, they will not accept the Monkey Face grill without doing MAJOR work. Even the under the fender supports are very different. Using the later style hood on the earlier style can be done but he latching system is totally different and again, will need major modifications to make it work. You'd be way better off finding a complete '48-50 front end, believe me, it will be well worth it.

Do you mean the inner fenders? Yes, they are longer for the 48-50. The braces that bolt into the radiator saddle are the same.

Worth it? To ditch the stylish '51 - '52 front end with three (not two!) teats?? No way!

You need a whole new front clip, and by the way, Monkey faces are beautiful!!

Ross, I was mistaken. I had a person with a '51/52 truck ask if I had the fender support, I did but it was for a F-2 to F-6 fender, which is different than the F-1 fenders.

They're the same all the way to F-6, the holes in the fender are changed to make the same brace work for all

But we're straying from the topic....

Again Ross, you've proven me wrong. I was sure they were different. I wish I'd known at the time I could have sold a pair, dang!

I have a few f2 parts, 1 right upper fender, got two grilles, (both need work) I have two grille headers and maybey a lower valance. Free for the asking. No lower fenders. I guess they are hard to come by and maybey a couple of inner fenders. Free, come and get em.

I'd sure looove to have those parts, just to have parts, but I have no use and no room for them!
